Anywho, here's the long awaited reviews (I'm sure, *snicker*) of my Crafter's Choice books:
Baby Knits for Beginners-- very basic, but I'm planning on knitting some baby stuff soon, and I love Debbie Bliss's pics
Knitting Stitch Bible-- love it-- I have plans to knit some stitches in a project soon
Felted Knits-- I love it-- many many projects to try-- the tea cozy among others
Weekend Knitting-- I really like the style of this book, although it seemed as though a lot of projects were with bulky or heavy worsted yarns
Year Round Knitting (BH&G)-- not to impressed with this one, and it looks as though resale on Ebay isn't that hot either.. oh well, maybe I'll regift it
Vogue Knitting Reference-- not too sure about this one, have to pilfer through it a few more times. Might be a keeper, might not.
I feel as though I'm kind of a in a rut, personally. I think I have the winter blahs. Sick of the cold, sick of the snow, sick of the same old day in and day out grind. I get up, go to work, come home, shower, eat and sleep. Boo. I started some herbs from seed last week, so I hope they sprout soon. Maybe it'll feel like spring at least in the kitchen. Some catnip, lemon basil and sweet basil. Need to pick up some more pots because I'd like to start some thyme, dill and a few others inside soon, too.
I'll have to post pics of all our houseplants sometime. We have lots! (Not counting the 3 in my classroom!) Let's see-- I have a dwarf banana plant, a dwarf lemon tree, 3 aloes (which desperately need to be divided again, as there's way more than 3), a jade plant, ivy, a bamboo plant, oatgrass (for the cat, who decided he doesn't like to eat plants), a peace lily, and a rubber plant. I think there's more, but I can't remember now. Sigh. Can't wait until it's warm enough to garden outside!
