Knitting Fool

I've been knitting my fingers off these past few days. Since Thursday, I've knit and felted two purses for the library gift shop. I promise to post pics later; I don't feel like dragging out the camera right now and uploading. Yesterday, I watched 2 movies--13 Going on 30 and Under the Tuscan Sun-- and upteen episodes of The Brady Bunch marathon on TVLand to get them finished. I take them in tomorrow so I'm hoping they dry-- eeek. I may have to run them under my hairdryer for a while. I'm just about to cast on for a pair of socks for my dad. I can't think of anything else he'd actually wear that I could knit him, and I'm uncertain about socks, but it's all I can think of. I've never seen him wear a scarf, and he doesn't really like hats unless they're plain ballcaps, so socks it is. I'm using Patons Kroy in a nice grey color. They'll be plain, but that's what he's more likely to wear. Not bad, I think, 2 Christmas presents down, upteen million to go. Teehee.

I really liked 13 Going on 30. It was very predictable and cutesy but it was just what I was in the mood for. Under the Tuscan Sun was pretty good; and of course The Brady Bunch was great- I'm such a dork, but I love that show. Did you know Sam the Butcher was only in 8 episodes? I couldn't believe that-- it seems like more to me.

Wish me luck, as I have an appointment at the library tomorrow at 11. I hope they like what they see! They've seen pictures, but not of the two bags I just knit up.
