Thanks to everyone who left me well wishes yesterday-- I feel just as lousy today, but I can tell that it's just a nasty cold. All of my colds start off with a sore throat, and it's not ferocious enough to be strep. When I'm sick I tend to feel worse as the day progresses, so I felt up to going out to Joann fabrics this morning. I returned a few skeins of Homespun I've realized I'm never going to use (I hate it), and had planned on purchasing a few balls of Wool Ease for the DNA scarf and perhaps some Patons Wool. Imagine my surprise when 4 balls of this: ended up in my basket. It's Lionbrand Landscape in the Autumn Trails colorway. It's much more beautiful in person; I absolutely fell in love with it, although not it's measley yardage-- 55 yards per ball! That photo does the color absolutely no justice.

I also got a few somethings to make my secret pal a little gifty.

I'm a few rows away from starting the increases on the chickami-- I cruised right through the decreases and straight rounds last night while watching Celebrity Poker. I'll try to post a progress pic this weekend.

It's back to the couch for me, now. I'm so pathetic and whiney when I'm sick. Have you noticed yet?
