Well, I am finished with the back of the Chickami, and am now working on the front-- only 7 more rows, then the ribbing, and then a little strap knitting and I'm done! I also cast on for my poncho last night. I did decide to use the Yarn Harlot pattern; I switched back and forth between many patterns, but decided to knit that one without fringe, and perhaps make it a big longer.

I also got my secret pal (3), and can't wait to begin spoiling him/her! Don't worry sp2 pal, I won't forget you either.

I just got back from the 50% off sale at my local thrift store-- I didn't find any yarn, but I did find 3 wool sweaters for $1.50 each to unravel for yarn. I also got a pair of DKNY khaki pants for 99 cents, and a t-shirt for 50 cents. Not bad if I do say so myself. They were PACKED. I also hit the grocery to pick up some carrots and a bottle of wine, and while I was there I found Kool Aid on sale 15/$2. Needless to say, I picked up 15 packages and when I checked out, I got a coupon for $5 off school supplies because of my Kool Aid purchase! You can't beat that with a stick, as my Grandma used to say.

Jason is working on his pumpkin chucking trebuchet today. Here's a picture of a trebuchet if you don't know what one is. He's working on it with a few of our older friends (ok our friends who have pre-teen kids), and they're so funny about it. They gave each other medieval sounding nicknames and such. They're such dorks; it's so funny.
