I'm back!

As much as I enjoyed spending time with my family, it feels good to be back in our cozy little home. It's such a let-down driving back, though, I must say. It is inevitable that tears come sometime during the drive back. I did manage to get a LOT of knitting done during the long weekend though! Pictures will come later, I'm too exhausted to pull out the camera and go through the whole process of uploading. On the drive down I worked quite a few rows on my Dad's scarf, and managed to finish it last night. Then, while I was down there, I knit a roll brim hat using the Elann Highland Wool-- it only took one skein, the cat toy from Stitch n Bitch Nation (the one with the balls and icord) for Patches, and three cotton washcloths for SIL. One in pink, one in purple, and one in a pink/orange/yellow variegated colorway.

I did a tiny bit of shopping on Friday. We did the black friday thing for a few hours (it's a tradition to go out with my mom and shop then). We got up at 4:30, and waited in line at Sears for a $10 gift card, and I knit on the hat while waiting in line, then we went to Target and Bath and Body Works. Later on we went antique shopping for a bit in the Antiques Capital of the Midwest, otherwise known as Waynesville, Ohio, and dh bought me a nice covered pottery dish to use to keep pancakes and such warm in. That'll be a Christmas present for me.

Now I'm scouring the net for a nice hat to knit my dad since I have leftover Highland Wool from his scarf. It only took 2 skeins and I have 2 left.
