Edited to add: Looks like I'm not going to get any pictures uploaded today-- sorry! I have tried to take some pictures and they're not cooperating, so you'll just have to wait. I did, however get a $10 GC to Adagio from my Secret Pal though! Thank you so much sp! I already spent it on a Cream & Sugar set we've been needing and a couple small tins of tea. I'm so addicted to Adagio it's insane. I could seriously order everything they have-- I love it all! I also received an awesome RAOK from Sarah of 2 skeins of Filatura di Crosa yarn. Such a wonderful surprise on a Monday! I think I even have *just* the project for it! There's a knitalong for Phoebe, which is going to be in the Spring 2005 IK here. Amazingly, it looks like the pattern takes less than 150 yards of worsted weight yarn, so the yarn Sarah sent should be perfect! Thanks Sarah! And speaking of that IK issue, I can't wait to get it-- A Good Bias looks like another project I can't wait to try! The capelets look great, too!

And speaking of RAOKs-- I have 9 small ones going out tomorrow. I'm so embarrassed, but I made a small typo on a few of them. So pardon this English teacher's bad spelling if you receive one with a typo! Duh me. Um yeah, I did it on purpose to see if you would catch it (that's what I always tell my students! LOL).

I think I'll go take a bath. It's weird with Marzi not being here-- I'm trying to enjoy the alone time, though.

And it's Monday again. The weeks seem to be going by so fast! I can't believe tomorrow is February already. Well, I went to the doctor on Thursday and got my ears flushed-- ew ew ew, but I'm definitely hearing better now. In a little bit I'm taking Marzi to the vet to get spayed. It will be a struggle to keep her from jumping around this week, so wish me luck with that!

I hope to get some pictures uploaded and another post started while Marzi's at the vet. Jason's going to pick her up on his way home. I'm still working on Clapotis, and am 3 repeats into the 3rd section. Not too much progress on it... I did take a break and knit up a drop stitch headband/hair scarf yesterday though. I'll have to take a picture later. I also spent a lot of time reading over the weekend. I started Wideacre by Philipa Gregory on Thursday, and just finished it yesterday. It was pretty good. I also read The Diary of Mattie Spenser by Sandra Dallas last week. It was pretty good, as well; it reminded me of a "grown up" Laura Ingalls Wilder. I just started The Persian Pickle Club by the same author. I also recently read The Passion of Artemisia by Susan Vreeland, and I liked it quite a bit. I didn't really like The Girl in Hyacinth Blue or The Forest Lover by her though-- I couldn't get into either of them.

I also received my Secret Pal match over the weekend, and have already received an email from my pal :) Thank you sp4! Well, I shall sit here with my coffee and wake up a bit before I take Marzi to the vet and stop at the grocery. I hope everyone has an un-Monday-like Monday. :)
