ARG I've been trying to post for 2 days and blogger keeps eating my posts. I was so excited Wednesday night when Jay won Project Runway. Both Jason and I said, as soon as his fashions hit the runway, "He has to win!" They were all so beautiful! Kara and Wendy had some nice things, but everything of Jay's was great. And the whole shoe debacle with Kara Saun was ridiculous! She clearly broke the rules, and I completely agreed with Wendy when she was calling her a hypocrite. I still think Wendy just got a bad rap. Yeah, she was a little weird with the whole "game," but I don't think she was as bitchy as they made her out to be.

As far as Survivor goes, I wasn't sure after the first episode, but after seeing last night, this looks like a great season! It's kind of hard for me to comment on it too much, because it will still take me a few episodes to get the character names (and there are more people to remember this season since they started out with more).

I'm currently on the second sock of my Opal pair. I don't have a picture yet, but they're just your standard issue socks. I finished the first sock in less than 24 hours! I cast on for them on Tuesday, and cast off and started the second Wednesday night. That would be a sock record for me! I wore the Sockotta socks to work yesterday-- I love them!

After informing Jason that I was on a sock knitting kick, I believe I've pestered him into FINALLY asking me for a pair of socks. In that regard, I need your help! I'm looking for a striping sock yarn (not jacquard or fair aisle patterned) with green and orange (and it can have other colors-- just not pink or anything too girly). Jason shares my love of green and orange :) I like this one from Opal (scroll down to 54), but I'd like to give him a few options. They do, however, HAVE to be superwash. Speaking of that site, though, has anyone ordered from http://www.yarn-shop.co.uk ? Their prices look good...

Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention! I'm officially done with my Yarn Diet for Charity! I completed 10 projects since I started, all with stash yarns, and didn't break it :) I ended up donating to Doctors Without Borders and The Michigan Humane Society, and I plan on making more contributions to these and other charities throughout the year. I think it really helped me to think about what that same money could be used for, and if I really needed the yarn. I kick started my yarn buying with 3 skeins of Elann's Sock it To Me Esprit, and I plan on knitting one of these: the Frida tank. I also snagged enough Stone Cotton from Herrschner's to make another Chickami (not bad for only $7.50 before shipping!).
