Not much happening around here. I haven't gotten a lot of knitting done this weekend either. Jason and I went to Autorama yesterday in Detroit, and at first, we were pretty underwhelmed by the showroom cars and "hotrods." Until we hit the basement level that is. Downstairs they had a whole different kind of hotrod-- Jason and I were oblivious to the fact that there is a Hot Rod Kulture (yep, with a K) that's much more, I want to say Underground, but that's a little cheesy since it was in the basement LOL. Think pinups, 50s, rusty driveable original condition cars (not the ones you have to trailer around!). Much different than the showroom quality cars that you can't touch or even sneeze around.

We also stopped at Buca di Beppos on the way home. Delicious! We'd never been there before, but we'll definitely be back. We hope to take my family there when they come up in late March or early April.

I wanted to take my sock knitting with me for the car ride, but didn't because I've heard horror stories of the Casein needles freezing and then shattering, and I love my caseins too much for that. I've tried knitting socks with bamboo and don't like it. I just wish more stores sold the Caseins-- I need a set of 1s, 1.5s and 2s. I started the toe decreases on my Lorna's Lace match last night before bed, and Jason's Regia showed up in yesterday's mail so I'll be able to cast on for that later today.

Are you in search of cheap sock yarn? Knitpicks has clearanced out their Regia and Lana Grossa Meillenweit yarns for cheap. The Regia is $2.69-3.50 for 50 grams and the Meileinweit is $5.59 for 100 grams. You have to search for Regia and Meilenweit-- it won't show up any other way. I just bought a few skeins for Jason and myself. His Regia sock fit perfectly! I love seeing my handknit sock on his foot, too, it makes me feel great! He's already asked for another pair, and this one's not even done yet.

Thank you SP4 for the E-card-- so cute! And thank you to KRSP, for the comment. Yes, I've declared this year, the year of the sock!
