Well, I finally bit the bullet and changed my comments over to haloscan. I upgraded to premium membership to get them emailed to me, as well, so we'll see how this works. So far, four people have correctly entered my contest, so it will be a random drawing. Don't forget to scroll down to yesterday's entry and enter! I'm leaving it open until Tuesday at noon.

Remember how I cast on for Frida yesterday? I just don't think I'm going to like the material; I've knit about an inch and a half and I just can't imagine wearing it. I think the Sock it to Me Esprit may just end up being a pair of socks. I told you I was feeling a little unsure of what to knit; so this morning I bought these two patterns: Scoop du Jour and Ribby Shell. I'm going to try to cast on for the Ribby Shell tonight using some Elann Sonata that's in my stash. I'm not sure about Scoop yet-- it's gorgeous, for sure, but I'd hoped it was knit in the round. I HATE seams.

Marzipan and I took a walk this afternoon; and it's always when I don't bring my digital camera that I see a picture I want to take. We saw a duck swimming in some swampy water, and it just looked so peaceful and spring-like, it was begging for a picture. But, alas, no camera. I can't believe we've lived here for almost two years and hadn't taken a walk on our dirt road-- we don't get much traffic during the day that it's perfect for walking. So many people have horses on our road, it's amazing; Marzi was pulling on her leash to go and play with them. Perhaps next time I'll remember to take the camera. I'm going to try to make it a 3 times a week thing-- although it's supposed to rain tomorrow and Wednesday. Poo.
