Monday was our Anniversary, and Jason gave me a big vase full of Lilacs from our 3 Lilac bushes. Don't you love that vase? Jason made it in pottery class when he was in High School. I've been trying to talk him into getting a kiln and a wheel, but we don't really have the money for it right now, nor does he have the time to work in pottery for a bit. I hope he gets back into it, because he's extremely talented at it.
Anniversary Present from Jason
He also bought me a wonderful wind chime. I love the sound it makes. (P.S. Jason did all that stonework by himself. I love it!!)
Another present
I've also been working on my chickami. I completely flubbed it up while watching Survivor on Sunday, and ALMOST ripped the whole thing out, but Jason convinced me that I could save it. I'm very glad I listened to him, because I was able to save it, and am just about to start the ribbing on the back after already completely the front (it's knit in the round until the arm holes).
Chickami Progress
And here's proof that I've been working in the garden. When we moved in, all that we had were some black eyed susans, hostas, half-dead peonies and lots of weeds, poison ivy, poison oak and money plants. There's not a lot blooming now, but I'm hoping we'll have some pretty blooms come summer. I've planted 2 kinds of daisies (my favorite), coreopsis, pink pincushion flower, more black eyed susans, sunflowers, cosmos, a wildflower mix, calendula, daffodils, tulips, and a few other things. I need more spring flowers, but at least it's a start. It also looks like our peonies will bloom this year! The previous owners dug up almost all the plants before they moved, and stunted what they left, so they didn't bloom last year. We do have some buds this year, though!

I do have some violets blooming:
