Hi all! I'm at work, at my first temp job-- a receptionist for an office and I've been given free reign of the internet (and magazine reading). I don't feel comfortable knitting, so this will have to do.

Late last week I did cast on for Tempting, and am an inch away from starting the sleeves. I'm using a VERY inexpensive yarn-- Caron Simply Soft, and while it IS soft, it's still too acrylic-y for me to knit another project from it. Live and learn! I figured I'd give it a shot. It will still be nice to wear, especially for work, I think.

Here are some interesting links I've found while perusing the web today:

One Skein Wonder-- a new Glampyre pattern. A mini mini-sweater. Cute, but I don't think I have a use for it. (Wasn't I thinking the same thing a few months ago about the original mini-sweater though?). We'll see.

The Garter Belt Pattern site was just unveiled today. Nothing I really want to knit, except for this "looks too easy to purchase" pattern-- Marina

Magknits has another newsletter pattern-- Sally. Kinda cute-- little too ruffly for my taste. It is exciting to hear that they'll be publishing MONTHLY starting in August though! I hope their patterns remain nice with the change. They're also going to be having a Sewing Pattern site starting in October. Another reason for me to accummulate a fabric stash to go with my yarn!
