I'm still hanging in. My receptionist job is incredibly boring. So far this week (it is early Thursday as I'm hand writing this), I have knit one washcloth, worked some on my Tivoli, read an Elizabeth Berg book--Range of Motion (very good, read it start to finish yesterday), a trashy high school Gossip Girls book (which had a surprising knitting reference), I'm halfway through a Carol Higgins Clark mystery (I've since finished it), and most notably, read Harry Potter. I started it Monday and finished it on Tuesday. It was very good, and I was surprised by the outcome. I thought I had it figured out halfway through, but I did not! Of course, I can't wait for the next one.

I received a package yesterday from my KRSP angel. I never heard who my original KRSP was (she sent me a couple nice packages) so I hope she's ok. Anyway, my angel sent me the book Pursenalities-- I can't wait to knit some of the great purses in there! Thank you KRSP angel!

I also traded some Lamb's Pride yarn for the book Loop d Loop and that arrived yesterday as well. There are a couple patterns in there I'm interested in trying-- the ballet top and the one shoulder tank caught my eye at first. I also snagged a $10 credit to overstock.com (click here to get yourself one, and I ordered Debbie Bliss's Cotton Knits and Celtic Knits. It made me feel a little better since I didn't get the Maran book (read on for more about that). Nothing like free knitting books!

The house is a complete disaster area. It takes me 45 minutes to an hour to get home and I basically take a shower, take care of the animals, fix and eat dinner, drink a beer and go to bed. I don't know how we managed when I was teaching full time. It must be the lack of internet at work that's wearing me down. But then again, it was only 20 minutes away, and I was able to leave an hour earlier AND I could check my email on lunch or prep.

You've probably read on a few blogs that people have been sent a free copy of the Maran Illustrated Guide to Knitting. Well, they sent me an email a few weeks ago, and I must have missed the COMPLIMENTARY part, because I deleted it, thinking it was spam. How stupid do I feel? (Incredibly stupid)

And Rox, I know you tagged me, but I'll work on that this weekend, K? Thanks for your sweet email.

This weeks drink of choice? Smithwick's Irish Ale. I wanted Sam Adams White Ale (formerly spring ale), but alas my stores have switched to the Summer beer. (Yes, I know I'm shamelessly copying A Case of Fiber Fever, but sometimes a gal just needs a beer (and I'm not talkin' Bud Lite. EWWWWWWWW).
