10 years ago:
I was in H.S., the summer before my senior year. Wow that makes me feel old. I don't remember anything particularly exciting happening that summer. (another sign of my age LOL)
5 years ago:
I was in college, working a retail job at JC Penney (which, by the way, paid more than my current temping jobs, but the hours sucked). I had my own tiny studio apartment, and was just about to start my student teaching. Jason and I had been dating for about 7 months.
1 year ago:
I had just been laid off from my private school teaching job and was pretty depressed. My grandma had recently passed away, and our dog was very sick and would soon pass away as well. Last summer was a really hard time for me.
(here's where I deviate from the rules of this tag)
1 month ago: I was just about to turn 27.
1 week ago:
I was temping at this same job, waiting for the same (well not the SAME) 33 minutes to pass and the weekend to start.
1 day ago:
I was doing the same as above, without the weekend part.
1 hour ago:
I was reading my third book of the day and realized I couldn't bear to read another word.
1 minute ago:
I was connecting another impatient person to the voicemail of an employee who already started their weekend.
Following the rules (written today, Sunday):
Today:
I watched Constantine with Jason this morning (Keanu is such a bad actor), then we went to Cosi (I highly recommend their Tomato, Basil and Mozarella melt) for lunch and now I'm hanging out with him at work. Which basically means, I'm surfing the net, will watch a movie on his laptop (I brought girlie movies-- Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Raise Your Voice), knit, read and watch tv.
Tomorrow: I need to work on laundry. Ugh. And I plan on knitting and catching up on all the bad tv I've been missing (The View, Young and the Restless and all the judge shows). Hey, when I say bad tv, I mean BAD tv. LOL
5 snacks I enjoy: salt & vinegar potato chips, dark dark chocolate, homegrown corn with lots of butter (hey, it could be a snack), popcorn with lots of butter (see a trend here?), crunchy Cheetos
5 bands/singers that I know the lyrics of MOST of their songs: Live, Cranberries, Norah Jones, Nirvana, Coldplay
Things I would do with $100,000,000: build a log cabin with a huge fireplace and a wraparound porch, go on a big vacation, start a family with dh, buy yarn, build dh a huge garage
5 locations I'd like to run away to: Australia, Ireland, Arizona, Colorado, Tennessee
5 bad habits I have: chewing on the inside of my cheek, being negative, I'm a real bitch when I'm hungry or tired (don't get within a mile if I happen to be both), compulsive shopper sometimes, hate to clean
5 things I like doing: knitting, reading, watching movies, gardening, camping with dh
5 things I would never wear: a nipple ring, jelly shoes (ever again), saddle shoes (ever again), leather pants, anything pink & ruffley or lacey (unless, of course, I knit it)
5 TV shows I like: Lost, Survivor, House, Good Eats, Big Brother
5 movies I like: Heathers, You've Got Mail, Wedding Singer, Neverending Story, Office Space
5 famous people I'd like to meet: John Cusack, Viggo Mortenson, Meg Ryan, Katie Holmes so I can ask her what the hell she's thinking, the yarn harlot
5 biggest joys at the moment: dh, Marzi (our pup), knitting, our house (I love all the work we've put into it-- it's so cozy now), riding around with the top down on my Jeep in the gorgeous weather (although it's not so much today). Yesterday was fabulous.
5 favorite toys: laptop, my new Denise needles, my Jeep, our Lincoln, my gardening tools
Still working on Tivoli, but I fear it's going to end up being huge. Ah well.
