A New Project

While I am still working on my Secret Elf project, it's one that takes a good bit concentration, so I decided to cast on for a mindless project to work along with it. Here is what I came up with
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I know it's hard to tell, but I'm using Barlett yarn in a brown tweedy color. It's kind of rough, but it's very earthy, and I need a bumming around sweater. I'm using Knitting Pure and Simple's men's pattern and making the smallest size-- I want an oversized sweater :)

I had a day off today (haven't had one of those in the middle of the week for a while!) so I stopped at the library. Picked up World of Pies : A Novel which is proving to be an excellent read. It's a girly coming of age story. A nice, easy read, but there's a little meat to it as well; I wouldn't call it just fluff.

Blockbuster online just delivered Robots (Widescreen Edition) and Fever Pitch (Widescreen Edition), and since there's not much on TV tonight, I hope to crank out some more knitting.

I also stopped at the thrift store today, and while I didn't find any yarn, I did pick up a hot pink thick/thin bulky sweater that I've started to unravel. I have one arm unraveled, and half of the front so far. It's my first success at ripping out a machine knit piece so wish me luck with the rest!
